What is Foot Reflexology
Foot Reflexology is a natural holistic therapy that is based on the theory that there are reflexes found in the foot that correspond to all parts of the body.
Each part: organs, muscles, glands, and nerves are connected to these reflex points on both our feet. Over time, stress, anxiety, injury, disease, and other factors cause imbalances in the body’s natural ability to function optimally.
By allowing the body to improve communication and reduce blockages in energy flow, the entire body can be treated using only the reflexes in the feet.
How does it work?
Stimulating these reflexes with pressure, Reflexology will relieve tension, improve circulation, and assist the body to return to homeostasis. Proper application of pressure to the reflexes will encourage the body to heal itself as tenderness or sensitivity in a reflex area would be an indication of weakness, stress, or stagnant energy.
When these areas are stimulated, a signal is sent through the nervous system to the brain to regulate and improve the function of the internal and external organs of the body as well as its skeletal structure.
